Hey, are you struggling with the new online methods and understanding the ins and outs of D2L? Well here is a step by step guide on how to use D2L for students.
How to use D2L for North Hennepin students…

How do I get to D2L?

Go to the North Hennepin Community College website and click on D2L at the top of the screen or you can hover over the student resources selection and go down the column and select the online learning / D2l Brightspace selection.

If you went the student resources route, you will now need to select the “Login To Brightspace”, selection and this will bring you to the login/ information and help page.

How do I log into D2L?

First, click sign on with StarID and make sure you know your StarID and password.

Enter your StarID and Password and click sign on.

If you experience trouble logging in you can select the “Forgot Your Password?” icon and it will bring you to and help and resources page where you can get help with whatever problem it is that you have.

How do I access my courses?

When you login to D2L on the right side of the screen you will find your courses and you can click on it to access it.

How do I find course work?

Once you have accessed you course you can select the materials tab and go to content.

Here you will find the syllabi’s and other course work that is posted by your professors.

How do I find graded assignments?
-
Click on the assessment tab and click on grades.

It will bring you to the grade book where you can find all your assignments that the professor has entered. Many professors don’t post overall grades until the end of the semester, in that case you can email your professor and ask for an update in the class.
