Exercising Self-care

How do you take care of yourself?

For a while now I have become obsessed with the idea of self-care. Struggling with a multitude of responsibilities leaves little time to take care of ourselves. However, the act of self-care should be something that everyone learns and ingrains in themselves so that we don't forget to give our body, mind, and soul appreciation.


Mind:

- Be conscious of how you take to yourself and the kind of language you use. For instance, if you are always thinking of yourself in a negative manner it becomes easy to adopt that negative thinking. So monitor how you think of yourself.

- Encourage positive thinking. Even if something is worthy of negative thinking or emotions be careful not to dwell on sadness too long and encourage positive thinking.

- Be compassionate to yourself and others. surround yourself with the kind of people you would like to be.

-Schedule time for you to breathe and observe everything that is happening around you and in your head.



Body:

- Get enough sleep every night

-Eat balanced meals and drink water regularly.

-Spend time doing a hobby you enjoy.

-Take care of your personal grooming as often as it needs to be done.

- Try out face masks

- Read a good book
